The ACE lottery for the 2026-2027 school year has been completed. The lottery tickets were pulled in the following order:
5, 1, 10, 2, 4, 8, 3, 7, 6, 9, 11, 12
Students will be placed in the order in which their family's number was drawn. All families will be notified of their placement in a classroom or placement on the waiting list within 10 school days. Families then have 3 school days to respond and accept their spot.
If your student is placed on the wait list, you will be notified if a space opens in their grade level. You will have 3 school days to respond and accept that space.
If you did not participate in the lottery, you may request to be added to the end of the wait list after April 13, 2026.
If you would like to be notified when we begin the lottery process in spring of 2027, you may complete our Interest Form at any time.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING RESIDENCY
If your student is accepted into the ACE Program and you live outside of the Vacaville Unified School District’s boundaries, you will be required to complete an additional step before your student is enrolled. All students that reside outside of our District and wish to attend one of our comprehensive school sites (non-charter schools) are required to submit an InterDistrict Attendance Agreement with their District of residence. The District of residence needs to approve the Agreement first and then they will forward it to our District for our review and consideration. If the Agreement is approved, then the formal enrollment process can begin. In order to take advantage of your lottery selection, you will need to submit your InterDistrict Agreement within 30 calendar days of being offered a spot. Failure to submit the Agreement, may result in your student’s spot at ACE being removed to allow students on the waitlist to enroll. If you have extenuating circumstances, please contact the Student Attendance and Welfare Office at 707-469-2307.

NOTE: Some addresses are within the city limits of Vacaville, but are outside the school boundaries of VUSD. It is important for all families to check the My School Locator tool to determine whether their home address is within or outside of the VUSD boundaries.
-
The InterDistrict Transfer process can be lengthy and varies depending on your home district, so it is essential that out-of-district families begin the process early in the spring.
-
Begin by going to your home district and requesting a transfer to VUSD.
-
Once your home district releases your student(s), your transfer request will be forwarded to VUSD.
-
VUSD will review the request and provide a response in writing. Only students on the approved InterDistrict Transfer list will able to enroll.
